Primus Advertising Limited recently participated in the ‘Transition to Work and Career Fair’ organized by Design and Technology Institute as a platform to expose their graduating trainees to the work world.

According to the Managing Director/Chief Executive of the organization based in Ghana, West Africa, Rev. Adewale Adeoye-Famosa, the idea of the fair was to bridge the gap between academia and industry thereby preparing the institute’s learners for what to meet in the future, as they moved on.

“We were able to showcase some of our works as well as interact with the students in general, which the enthused learners were really thrilled with. They asked various questions to which satisfactory answers were provided, he said.

“We were truly happy in the end to have contributed to the fair and partnered the institute in developing a skilled and employable workforce.

Our partnership with DTI started when last year two of their learners were posted to our company for their internship programme. After the programme we offered one of the two a permanent position in our firm and he has since fully integrated into the organization. Subsequently, at a recent stakeholder meeting of the institute, we pledged to always have at least one of their learners on internship at our firm”, he added.

“As a follow up to the pledge, we visited the institute to meet with the Founder and CEO Madam Constance Swaniker, where we reiterated to her our promise and she was quite delighted.

Definitely from what we have seen of the institute so far, it is a place that should be supported by industry players”, he further added.
